| Las Vegas, Nevada – July 23, 2007 – Codecs Unlimited (CU), a new broker of video and audio compression technologies, today announced that it has begun its search for the world's best codec SDKs. |
| CU's mission is to offer software developers "One-stop shopping for the world's best compression technology." The company will achieve this goal by offering a limited number of carefully-selected SDKs for resale under the CU brand or with co-branding. |
| "We will make it easy for developers to license codec SDKs," said Paul Creel, CEO of Codecs Unlimited. "Our clients will benefit from reduced research and development efforts because we will have already evaluated many codecs and chosen the best. Our vendors will benefit from the high-volume sales that we can provide. Once our initial product line is launched, we will begin aggressive sales and marketing efforts." |
| CU is currently evaluating codec SDKs for Windows, Mac and Linux in the following formats: |
Motion JPEG |
